Advance Plaiting

4 section plating:
step 1: take a section of hair and divide it into two equal sections and split those two sections in half; now you’ll have four equal sections.
step 2: take the section on the far left and bring it under the section next to it, then over the next section. Repeat the opposite for the section on the right: it goes over the section next to it, then under the next section. If you number the sections as positions 1, 2, 3, 4 starting from the left, it will be easier to understand. Section 1 goes under section 2 and over section 3. Section 4 goes over section 3 and under section 2. Repeat: Section 1 goes under section 2, and over section 3, and so on.
step 3: keep repeating these steps until you have reached the end of your hair. Secure the end of your braid with a hair elastic.
step 4: use a bobby pin to pin your braid around your head. Arrange your hair over your braid to hide the end.
5 section plaiting:
step 1: section the hair in 5
step 2:Start with first on the right section and put it over second, and then under 3rd.
Step 3: the same on the other side put 5th over 4th, and then under the strand in the middle (strand 1)
step 4: repeat this "over & under" on alternating sides soon enough you will see your braid forming.

Water fall plating:
step 1: starting near your hairline, pick up three strands of hair, as if you're starting a French braid.
step 2: cross the strand closest to the top of your head (1) over the middle section (2).
step 3: cross the bottom section (3) over the new middle section (1).
step 4: cross the new top section (2) over the new middle (3), and then the bottom (1) over the middle (2).
step 5: crop the middle strand (2) down, so it blends in with the rest of your hair.

Reverse French plating:
step 1: grab a section of hair at the top of your head, and divide it into three equal sections.
step 2: start braiding your hair—but cross the strands under the middle piece instead of over.
step 3: begin grabbing and adding other small sections of hair every time you cross a piece under the middle strand. Try to keep all the sections you add around the same size to keep the braid looking neat and even.
step 4: continue this until there is no more hair left to grab. Finish off the bottom with a regular braid and tie it off with an elastic to keep it all together.
